Floor scales or platform scales are scales that are designed with a more complex and stronger structure to be able to measure larger loads than scales in general. To be able to do this, the floor scale is supported by a compression type load cell which is positioned between two plates to support the load above it. The number and characteristics of the load cells distributed under the plate determine the load capacity that can be measured by this type of scale
