Certificates can be issued through Tuv Nord, our business agreement partner. The EN 18031 series is a technical standard designed to ensure the safety and performance of wireless devices within the European Union, with a particular emphasis on cybersecurity. This standard supports the technical requirements of the Radio Equipment Directive (CE RED), addressing electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), spectrum efficiency, and, crucially, enhanced cybersecurity measures. Starting from August 2025, CE RED’s cybersecurity requirements will become mandatory for all wireless devices, requiring manufacturers to comply with stricter standards, including data protection, authenticated software updates, and prevention of unauthorized access.
