Daniamant DanEI-300 Electronic Inclinometer

The DanEI-300 Electronic Inclinometer from Daniamant is a precision instrument designed to measure a vessel’s heel and pitch angles with exceptional accuracy. Using a high-performance MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) sensor, it provides real-time data on heel angle, pitch angle, roll period, and roll amplitude, unaffected by the ship’s linear accelerations. This ensures reliable readings even in rough sea conditions — a major improvement over traditional pendulum or bubble-type inclinometers, which can show errors up to 30% under dynamic motion.

Equipped with a bright 800×480 color LCD display, the DanEI-300 offers clear numeric and analog visualization of ship movement, along with trend plots for monitoring heel angle (3 minutes) and roll amplitude (30 minutes). The unit can also trigger heel angle warnings when preset limits are exceeded, enhancing onboard safety.

The system consists of a Display Unit and a Sensor Unit, connected via standard marine interfaces. It supports both serial (IEC 61162-1/-2) and Ethernet (IEC 61162-450) communications for integration with onboard navigation and data recording systems such as VDR and INS. Multiple displays can be networked for bridge redundancy. The inclinometer runs on 24 V DC and includes both main and emergency power inputs.

Fully BSH type-approved and compliant with IMO Performance Standards MSC.363(92) and IEC 60945, the DanEI-300 meets stringent international maritime requirements for environmental endurance and data reliability.
