The Odeo Flare™ MK3 by Daniamant Ltd (UK) is redefining marine and outdoor safety. Designed as a modern, non-pyrotechnic alternative to traditional flares, it combines outstanding visibility with complete safety and environmental responsibility.
Using advanced LED technology, the Odeo Flare™ emits a powerful red light visible up to six nautical miles, with a peak output of 100 candela. It automatically flashes the internationally recognised SOS pattern as defined in Annex 4 of the COLREGS, ensuring it is understood worldwide as a distress signal. Unlike conventional flares that burn for less than a minute, the Odeo Flare™ provides up to six hours of continuous illumination, offering significantly greater visibility time in an emergency.
The unit is powered by three easily replaceable AA batteries (Lithium or Alkaline), allowing safe transport and long shelf life without expiry concerns. It contains no heat, flame, or explosive materials, making it entirely safe to handle, ship, and dispose of. Its robust, glass-reinforced nylon housing is lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and fully waterproof, tested to IP68 and pressure-tested to 100 metres for one hour. Certified dust-tight to IP6X standards, it is designed to perform reliably in even the harshest environments.
Highly visible in its bright orange casing, the Odeo Flare™ floats and operates in temperatures ranging from –40°C to +60°C.
