WIKA Gedung was established on October 24, 2008 as one of the subsidiaries of
PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk. in the area of building and property construction services for the commercial market segment.
PT Wijaya Karya Bangunan Gedung Tbk. (WIKA Gedung) was officially established as a market seperation strategy that was conducted in order to increase the growth of the business. The government or state-owned enterprises market is still performed by the Department of Building Construction PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk., while for the private market will be performed by Wika Gedung. The business of building construction has been the main activity of PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk. since its establishment. Several monumental projects were completed including office buildings, hotels, apartments, malls/retails, sport facilities and airport terminal building.
