Daejeon has a population of about 1.5 million, regional gross domestic product(GDRP) of 41 trillion won(35 billion dolllars) and Daedeok Innopolis and 18 industrial complexes.
Daedeok Innopolis is the largest scale in Korea, and the R&D expenses was about 7 billion dollars as of 2018. So it has been leading Korea's R&D.
Industries, academies and institutes are collaborated easily because about 230 research institutes and 19 excellent universities such as KAIST are located in Daedeok Innopolis.
Also 28,000 master's and doctorate personnel make it easy to recruit human resources.
In addition, a foreign investment zone was created, making it a better environment for enterprises to invest in.
Daejeon City will continue to make efforts to support enterprises with establising infrastructure and providing incentives.
