Dolichoderus thoracicus is a native Taiwan ant species, recently became a serious nuisance pest in Taiwan. They seriously bother people’s daily life, these ants also breed and protect agricultural pests such as aphids and scale insects to obtain their honeydew as food resources.“滅蟻佳” (Erasant®- Nuisance Ants Liquid Bait was developed by Chung Hsi and Dr. Lin from Department of Biology, National Changhua University of Education. Its new formulation can spread the active ingredient by workers. It’s very effective for Dolichoderus thoracicus and other ant species which prefer sugar. We recommend that the liquid bait should be used with Chung Hsi’ special designed reusable bait station, eradicating ants with convenience and effectiveness.
