Helms Geomarine Sdn Bhd (HELMS) is a service provider specializing in the offshore soil investigation and geotechnical engineering services.
The offshore soil boring is carried out from dedicated DP2 geotechnical survey vessels. The drilling rig, installed over a moonpool, is heave-compensated with a wireline system to run the WISON-APB piezocone penetration testing (PCPT) as well as sampling & coring equipment.
The purpose of the soil investigation is to acquire the geotechnical engineering design parameters for the assessment and design of offshore structures foundations such as jackup, platforms, subsea installations such as PLEMs and pipelines.
