Tsubame BHB is a start-up company to promote small-scale and distributed ammonia synthesis plants based on the ‘Electride catalyst™’, an innovative ammonia synthesis technology developed at Institute of Science Tokyo.
Tsubame BHB offers ammonia plants from 500 to 100,000 t-NH3/y capacity. Two full-scale plants are currently under construction at customer sites. Our solution is compatible with green hydrogen and renewable energy;
1. Flexible capacity: from 500t-NH3/y (≈ 90t-H2/y), easily adaptable to the scale of locally available renewable energy
2. Small footprint: modular-design plant can be installed near H2 production or ammonia consumption shortens supply chain
3. Stand-alone: in-house production for own consumption where water, air and electricity available, consolidates supply security
